That Dr. Jeff Werber is recognized as one of America's leading veterinarians is no coincidence. With impressive scholastic credentials and a fast rising media profile, Dr. Werber, an Emmy award winning Pet Health reporter, has quickly become one of the nation's foremost veterinary medical journalists.
A highly motivated and skilled communicator, his goal is to educate and enlighten pet parents on everything from nutrition to basic pet care maintenance, to recognition and prevention of disease, to the importance of establishing a one on one communication between pet owner and veterinarian. He works hard to strengthen the "Human-Companion Animal Bond!"
Instinctively drawn to veterinary medicine by his childhood love of animals, Dr. Jeff received a degree in Zoology from UC Berkeley. In 1984, he earned his Veterinary degree from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Jeff has served as the Pet Medical editor on two radio programs, and is well known for several video series distributed through pet stores, veterinary hospitals and animal shelters across the country. Dr. Jeff has appeared on the Rachael Ray Show, Oprah, CNN, Fox News, CBS-LA, MTV, NBC-TV, KCAL-TV, among others. He has served as the pet expert on CBS Morning News in Los Angeles, for which he won an Emmy.
In his free time, Dr. Jeff volunteers at pet stores, examining dogs and cats to ensure the highest standards of care for the animals. His philanthropy has been extended to PAWA, the Delta Society, the American Humane Society, Canine Companions for Independence, and International Guiding Eyes, among others.
